Fernox Hawk WhiteHawk White is a pipe jointing compound for use in general applications. It is suitable for Natural Gas, non potable water, steam, air (excluding medical lines) brine, alcohol and L.P. Gas. It is ideal for use on pipe diameters up to 25mm and with reinforcement fibre on pipework over 25mm.Specification: Pipe jointing compoundNon-toxic and environmentally friendlyComplies with BS EN 751-2 Class AApplication and Dosage Hawk White can be used for all general work, except on potable water where Water Hawk should be applied. For applications using pipework over 25 mm, reinforcement should be used.Packaging, Handling and Storage Hawk White is supplied in 200 gm and 400 gm tins.Hawk White is classified as non-toxic and is environmentally friendly.Product Uses Hawk White is a pipe jointing compound for all general work. It is suitable for Natural Gas, non-potable water (NB: for potable water use Water Hawk), steam, air (excluding medical lines), brine, alcohol and also L.P. Gas. Hawk White complies with BS EN 751-2 Class A when used in conjunction with an approved reinforcing fibre, as a sealing material for metallic threaded joints in contact with 1st, 2nd and 3rd family gases to 5 bar and 70°C and water up to 7 bar and 130°C. It may be used alone on pipe diameters up to 25 mm and is used with reinforcement (hemp or Hawk Special Fibre) on pipework over 25 mm. Note that no British Standard exists for testing jointing compounds on pipes in excess of 50 mm diameter.
