Deva Methven Sensor Taps

The Methven Sensor range of taps are the ultimate in hygiene and water conservation, they are high quality taps from Methven and come with a 12 year warranty. The Sensor Range of mono basin taps are available in chrome finish with a choice of five styles and feature a vandal and scratchproof window and are mains operated with a battery back-up that requires x 4 AAA batteries. The Sensor water saving range is suitable for cold or premixed water and have a maximum operational temperature of 45 degrees.

How Do Sensor Taps Work?

When the sensor senses the presence of an object (i.e. user’s hands) in front of the tap and sends a signal to the solenoid valve to initiate the flow of water. When the object is no longer present, the infrared unit sends an electronic signal to the solenoid valve again to terminate the flow of water usually after a few seconds thus saving water. Most of our Sensor tap models have the possibility to be powered by regular AA batteries (Alkaline) or by mains via a 6V transformer.
