Discoloration Of Fire Baskets:
Please note that polished fire baskets, may change colour after prolonged exposure to heat. Polished brass and polished cast iron items especially, are NOT recommended for solid fuel fires as some discoloration will occur (a purple colour). If you do not want this to happen, please select a black finish for solid fuel.

All our fire baskets are suitable for burning solid fuel, however polished and hi-lighted products may tarnish. Only burn small fires to start with in order to temper the cast iron.
