It is designed to fit flat-to-wall with the spacer provided in the box or inset..
Its stylish aesthetic has coal supplied and white pebbles as standard and the flame effect can be used independently of heat source, so you can create a warm atmosphere without having to change the heat.

Please explain 'Optiflame' - is it a bulb that can be replaced? If it goes wrong, is it costly to have repaired?

My fireplace opening is only just 16". I gather that there is something at the back of your unit that needs to fit inside my fire place. If it does not fit in, will it look odd sticking out?? How do I fix it to the wall or is it free standing?

Brilliant service - happy customer

I have recently purchased, on-line, a Dimplex Optiflame Electric fire through SNH. I cannot fault either SNH or Dimplex who I contacted via email for some extra information. Purchasing through SNH I saved £160 on the shop price. I needed additional information as I was purchasing the fire for my elderly mother so needed to know more about running cost and ease of use; Customer Care was so helpful. I ordered the fire, it was delivered within 48 hours, the instructions very easy to follow, the flame looks incredibly realistic and my mother is delighted. Thank you

A good product and excellent service

After a lot of online research we went to snh for our electric fire as they provided a very comprehensive detail of the product, offered the best price, and quickest delivery. We weren't disappointed as the transaction completed without fault and communications regarding acknowledgement of the order, followed by delivery date and time were excellent. Horton fire

Just wanted to give feedback on this fire I purchased from SNH.

We were looking for a simple but elegant fire to fill a gap where we removed an old gas fire.

The Horton is not the top of the range, but it looks great, is easy to install and works a treat.

Plus the SNH price was excellent and the delivery fast.

brilliant purchase

I loved everything about this purchase from the off. I thought it was so easy to purchase then being able to track it gave you a good idea of delivery( very important when you are out at work) Apart from this I am extremely pleased with my choice of fire.

The delivery was terrible.The day it was suppose to arrive I waited in all day ,I even phone to give my telephone number for directions as my house can bre hard to find.Nobody arrived ,no card through door ,no telephone call.The next day the delivery advice said "customer on holiday".several irrate phone calls later it eventually got left (at my instructions as I was on call and couldnt wait in another day) behind my gates the following day

The Dimplex Horton Electric Fire is excellent value for money and looks really good. The heat output is more than adequate and the fire looks lovely just switched on without any heat setting on. SNH delivery was first class and very efficient and I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy the Dimplex Horton or indeed any other fire from the Dimplex range.
