Discoloration of fire baskets:
Please note that Blackfire baskets, may change colour after prolonged exposure to heat. Blackbrass and Blackcast iron items especially, are NOT recommended for solid fuel fires as some discoloration will occur (a purple colour). If you do not want this to happen, please select a black finish for solid fuel.

All our fire baskets are suitable for burning solid fuel, however Polishedand hi-lighted products may tarnish. Only burn small fires to start with in order to temper the cast iron. What to expect from your delivery driver The driver will unload from his lorry and wheel the unit to your front door for you. The driver is not insured to take your stove/fire basket inside your home as it is a 2 man lift, so please make sure that there are 2 able bodied persons to do this on delivery.
