If you choose to purchase the fire basket with no fire option, you will receive the basket only with no solid fuel grate. There will be a square hole where the gas fire would have gone, but this is ideal if you just want it a decoration.
All our fire baskets are suitable for burning solid fuel, however polished and hi-lighted products may tarnish. Only burn small fires to start with in order to temper the cast iron. Failure to do this could warp or crack the basket and will invalidate any warranty on the fire basket.
