Defra Approved Stoves
Some areas of the UK are specified smoke control areas. To find out if you live in a smoke control area contact your local authority. The legislation behind this stems from the Government’s attempts to deal with the smogs of the 1950s and 60s that plagued our cities and killed hundreds of people. In smoke control areas it is illegal to emit smoke from domestic properties. Defra approved stoves are those that have passed tests to demonstrate that they are able to burn smoky solid fuel without emitting smoke. If you live in a smoke control area and wish to have a stove, you must either burn smokeless fuels or install a Defra-approved appliance, such as the Defra-approved, clean burn stoves that we offer. Our selection of Defra approved stoves look just the same as our regular multi fuel stoves so you will not lose out on aesthetics. See our range of Defra approved stoves below.

Delivery Of Your New Stove:
Our stoves are very heavy and are delivered on a pallet, please note deliveries are Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am & 6.00pm. We are unable to specify a time.
ALL stoves have to be signed for, please also note that if you live in Scotland or the Highlands please allow an extra 2 to 3 working days from the estimated delivery times qouted.
The delivery is a kerbside delivery, the driver will unload from his lorry and wheel the pallet delivery by means of a man operated pump truck to your front door for you. The pump truck will not travel over soft or loose surfaces such as gravel or grass. The delivery vehicle does not have a crane and cannot lift goods over fences, walls or hedges. The pallet requires a smooth flat surface for positioning.
*Please make sure you check your delivery thoroughly before signing for it - if in doubt please sign for it as damaged as no claims for damage can be made if signed for in good condition. Thank you.*
