There is nothing quite like the atmosphere a real flame creates but open fires can be a bit of a hazard if you have children or pets, so with that in mind solid fuel stoves can be a great alternative. Our range of stoves are made from cast iron or steel. They are designed with durability and maximum heat output in mind and the stoves retain heat long after the fire has died out. All of our stoves have large glass windows on the front for enhanced flame visibility and the built-in air wash systems keep the glass clean. If you concerned about your environmental impact, you will be interested to know that wood is the most environmentally friendly fuel to burn because it’s carbon neutral and a renewable resource. We have multifuel stoves, wood burners, gas stoves and Defra Approved stoves within this range.
Solid fuel stoves come in various sizes and finishes so there will be a design to suit your home. They can be used as either the main heat source in a room or alongside your home’s existing heating system. Multifuel and woodburning stoves can be installed anywhere you can run a flue system to. Before you can have your new stove installed you’ll need a visual inspection of your existing chimney or flue to ensure that it’s in good order, clear of obstruction and, importantly, suitable for the appliance that you wish to install. It may also be necessary to have your flue swept and for a smoke test to be carried out to check that your chimney is gas tight.
Please note the fitting of a CO (Carbon Monoxide) alarm is now a building regulations requirement for a stove installation, we stock these as standard and can be added to your order by clicking the add the carbon monoxide detector on the screen.
