If slight local change in color will cause distress, it is strongly recommended that black fire baskets are selected. Your home may have a chimney type which will allow you to choose any of the fire baskets on offer by gallery collection. However, please consult a CORGI or HETAS registered installer before you buy your new Cottage fire basket.

Discolouration of fire baskets
Please note that polished fire baskets, may change colour after prolonged exposure to heat. Polished brass and polished cast iron items especially are not recommended for solid fuel fires as some discolouration will occur (a purple colour).If you do not want this to happen, please select a black finish for solid fuel.
